S100 (Fire Suppression) and S185 (Fire Entrapment): Calgary AB

Time: 8:30 am - 4:30pm Each Day

The second day of the course is the practical portion, come prepared for outside elements.

The S100 Fire Suppression course give an overview of wildfire suppression techniques and prepares trainees to fight wildfires. The focus of the S-185 course is personal safety, and it is usually offered as a partial-day course added onto S-100 training. Trainees learn about the hazards that can lead to entrapment situations (i.e. limited escape routes, fuel hazards) and how to evaluate these hazards before it is too late.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled class time and bring the following to class:

  • Valid Government issued ID
  • Writing utensil and paper
  • Water Bottle, lunch and snacks
  • Hard hat 
  • Ear protection

CANCELLATION POLICY

Any booking cancelled 7 business days in advance will receive a full refund. Bookings cancelled within 3-6 business days of the course start will receive a credit applied to their account for future training. Students cancelling less than 48 hours before the course start, withdrawing after commencing class, showing up late, or failing to attend classes without notification (No Shows) will forfeit the full course fee. Student substitutions will be allowed up to the start of the course with no penalties. Irwin’s Safety reserves the right to cancel any course in which the minimum registration is not met, and make any changes in course content as circumstances may require. Every effort will be made to advise students by phone or mail of cancellations prior to the commencement date. In order to guarantee a seat in any of our courses, payment must be made at the time of booking.
